2+ years experience
Healthcare
Recently, I worked on a healthcare scanning device, drawing on my experience in designing kiosk interfaces. This project is currently slated for clinical testing as part of the FDA approval process. My work extended to designing web apps for technical operators to diagnose the devices, as well as for medical operators to receive and evaluate scan data. Prior to this, I partnered with USC on an internal mental health app specifically for military veterans. Although primarily an academic project, it fueled my enthusiasm for contributing to healthcare initiatives in real-world settings. Additionally in the past, I played a key role in developing a startup app focused on providing coaching for individuals managing diabetes. Leveraging my network, I also collaborated with a physician on a pitch for a medical record management system.

Direct-pay Health Provider Platform
- Consumer Search Portal: A patient-facing platform that enables users to search for medical providers offering direct-pay services, bypassing complex health insurance. Some providers offer more competitive rates, giving users a cost-effective alternative.
- Provider Registration Portal: A dedicated platform for healthcare providers to register their services by selecting from HCPCS/CPT codes or multiple Medicare-based pricing options, making it easier to offer direct-pay options to patients.
- Conversational Assistance: With recent trends in AI-driven healthcare, the MVP is evolving to include interactive AI assistance, helping users navigate provider options, compare pricing, and seamlessly find the right healthcare services.

- Fleet management: A conceptual dashboard designed to monitor scanning devices across multiple medical locations, with a primary focus on identifying devices that may have issues requiring attention.
- Clinical portal: A conceptual dashboard designed for physicians to receive initial diagnoses from the scan along with patient information for further diagnosis.

USC Institute for Creative Technologies
Interaction Designer (Virtual Human Therapeutics Lab)
- Product and interaction designer: At USC ICT (University of Southern California, Institute for Creative Technologies), the Virtual Human Therapeutics Lab utilizes embodied conversational AI agents within evidence-based mHealth software applications to illustrate the potential role of Virtual Humans in fostering mental, emotional, and physical well-being, as well as facilitating behavioral change. As an interaction designer, I played an integral role in developing UIs and user flows. The application underwent testing with numerous veterans to validate the effectiveness of virtual humans in alleviating emotional distress among military veterans.
